Sweet Italian Sausage & Peppers
Sweet Italian Sausage & Peppers
Mild sweet Italian Sausages,or bratwursts, hot Italian sausages
Hunts traditional sauce,or your favorite meatless spaghetti sauce
green peppers
onion
spaghetti/ Italian sub rolls
This is an easy simple dish to make. I place mild sweet sausage links, you could also use bratwursts, or the hot Italian sausage links. I just brown them lightly in the skillet then place them in your crock pot along with one can of Hunts traditional sauce. You can also use your favorite meatless spaghetti sauce. Cut long strips of green peppers and onions and cover the sausage and sauce. Cook in your crock pot, slow cooker for 4-6 hours. It makes delicious sandwiches when served on sub Italian rolls or even hot dog buns. It will remind you of a day at the state fair. This day I cut up the sausages when they were done cooking in the crock pot and served it over spaghetti. It is a terrific way to spice up your traditional spaghetti dinner.
